The West Florida Golf Tour was happy to roll out its new venue for the upcoming year Wednesday afternoon. The venue, Tampa Palms, has had a great history of professional golf in the Tampa Bay area over the years by hosting many USGA qualifiers, FSGA events and most notably a Champions Tour event. We are pleased to have them as a partner.
Simon Walsh took advantage of some local knowledge and close proximity to capture his first ever win on the WFGT. Walsh used a steady (-2) 70 to hold off a charging Luiz Jacintho who closed in (-4) 32. Jacintho, being an amateur, took home the Amateur Division title which he won for the 3rd time this fall.
